Honey Garlic Glazed Chicken with Roasted Asparagus

Some meals remind us that eating well does not need to be complicated. A beautiful plate of food can be created with a handful of simple ingredients and a little time in the kitchen. This honey garlic glazed chicken is the perfect example. The chicken is tender and juicy with a slightly caramelized glaze, while the asparagus adds a fresh and vibrant balance to the dish.

It is the kind of meal that feels nourishing, comforting, and satisfying all at once. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or a quiet evening when you want something homemade and wholesome.

Ingredients

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Honey Garlic Glaze

3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon olive oil

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F.

Place the trimmed asparagus on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper. Toss lightly to coat and spread evenly across the pan.

Roast the asparagus in the oven for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until tender but still slightly crisp.

While the asparagus is roasting, prepare the honey garlic glaze. In a small bowl whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and olive oil.

Season the chicken breasts lightly with salt and black pepper. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small drizzle of olive oil.

Place the chicken breasts in the pan and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes on each side, until golden and cooked through.

During the final few minutes of cooking, pour the honey garlic glaze over the chicken. Allow the sauce to simmer and thicken slightly, turning the chicken to coat it evenly in the glaze.

Once the chicken is fully cooked and beautifully glazed, remove from heat.

To serve, place roasted asparagus on a plate and set the glazed chicken breast on top. Spoon any extra glaze from the pan over the chicken.
